Everything Court 5 and all of Club View Gardens II needs
in order to compost their green waste, food waste, paper, and cardboard.
Join our community in keeping our resources on site and out of the dumpsters.

But we burn our trash.  Why bother composting?

How to Compost

There are a few different ways to compost.  You can learn a bit about each below.  For more detailed information see our Tutorials page.

Closed bin

Closed bin, tumbler, cool composting, compost pile—these all use basically the same approach: mix up your compostables and let nature do its thing.  Learn more.

Worm bin

Worm bins are great for composting kitchen scraps, lots of other food waste, and some paper.  They have a small footprint and are easy to manage.  Plus, gardeners love vermicompost (compost from worm bins).  Learn more.

Bokashi

Bokashi composting is actually a fermentation method.  It works for any kind of food waste.  It also requires a closed bin system or somewhere you can bury your compost to complete the composting process.  Learn more.
